WDCL Div 1 - Rugeley A v Warley A 02.09.25

Rugeley made their eagerly awaited return to Wolverhampton Division 1, and what a start! Nik drew against a 2179 on board 1 with a strong end position and was unlucky not to win. Matt played brilliantly and checkmated a 1910 on board 2 with a pawn. I was second best most of the game on board 3 and duly lost. Bill played masterful on board 4 against a 1871 and a formidable pawn position secured the win. Despite being outgraded on every board, it was business as usual for this Rugeley team.
