Rugeley Chess Club, which meets at Lea Hall Social Club, Rugeley WS15 2LB, is a vibrant hub for chess enthusiasts of all levels. Our club offers a variety of engaging activities, including over the board games, rated matches, club tournaments and chess league team events. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where players can enjoy the strategic and competitive aspects of chess while building lasting friendships and connections within the chess community.
About the
Club
Rugeley Chess Club was formed on the 5th December 1968 and is still going from strength to strength.
The Club joined the Wolverhampton & District Chess League in 1969 and the Cannock & District Chess League as a founder member in 1999.
We meet every TUESDAY night at 7:30pm upstairs (lift available) in the computer room at Lea Hall Social Club, Rugeley.

Objectives of the Club:
1 - To promote the interests of chess in the area both within the club and in the wider community.
2 - To ensure old and new members get the most out of their chess experience with regular competitive and friendly games.
3 - Our members are extremely supportive and inclusive, welcoming all.
4 - To protect the right to privacy and follow GDPR guidelines.
