Walsall A v Rugeley A (30.4.26)

We travelled to Walsall for our final ever league match playing as this team in this division.

Nikoli our board 1 signed off in style with a win that was never in doubt after his opponent had to give his Queen up during the middle game. Myself playing my last ever league match got trounced by one of their new ungraded players. Not the ending I was hoping for. Bill got a comfortable win on board 4, while Matt had a cagey affair on board 2 and was unfortunate in the endgame.

So our last match was a 2-2 draw surviving relegation against all the odds. Its been an such a pleasure & privledge playing alongside such talented players who have achieved so much over the years. Guys, its been an absolute blast!
