v Halesowen

After a great result previously, we anticipated another tough match against Halesowen A.

Nikoli equipped himself well on board 1, but unfortunately his opponents pass pawn proved too decisive. Matt, who was battling on bravely with a piece down resigned once his opponent got on top in the endgame.

I was outplayed and outflanked down my Queen side during the middle game and duly resigned. Lukes opponent managed to submerge a strong knight in his camp, and this resulted in his opponent exploiting a handy pin later on much to his dissmay.

So a 4-0 defeat was a little hard to take, but we can hold our heads up high as we were outgraded on every board. This is going to be a tough Division, but we're up for the challenge.
