There will be no volunteers at the library during the school holidays. However, the library staff will put out the chess sets for those wishing to play. Bob will be back at the library to welcome chess players of all ages on September 1st.

Rugeley Chess Club held their annual post-AGM Blitz tournament where each player has 5 minutes on the clock. We would like to thank Dan, ably assisted by Gail, for taking over the running of the tournament and for making sure everything ran smoothly. The tournament was well attended with12 members taking part, Yev emerging victorious with Luke and Rob close behind. Oli won the grading prize. A great night was had by all.
