Bob will be at Rugeley Library, 15.45 - 16.45 this Tuesday 8th September to welcome chess players of all ages and abilities.

Bob will be offering chess lessons from 18.30 - 19.15 in the Computer Room at Lea Hall, starting this Tuesday, 1st Septemeber. The lessons would be of benefit to those graded below 1300 or indeed, to those wishing to learn how to play chess.

Last year Rugeley Chess Club proudly lifted the Lichfield Summer Championship trophy. This year, despite our best efforts, we decided to give someone else a turn—congratulations to Burton Chess Club on becoming this year’s worthy winners. It may not have been a successful title defence, but it was still a thoroughly enjoyable competition and a great tournament to be part of.
